I want to see how many people read my blog...

I am so glad we have the first month of school under our belt. I can finally get back to my couponing. I have been shopping alot this weekend. I wanted to get in and use my August coupons before they expired. I did pretty well, I think so at least. So, I want to see who reads my blog, so I am having a contest to see. I am posting a picture of what I got at Publix Friday night. The person that guesses how much I spent at Publix, gets a box of Ritz crackers. This is what is in my picture in case you can't see it all.
12 boxes of State Fair corn dogs
1 gallon of milk
2 packs of ID gum
2 jars of pnuts
2 jars of Kraft mayo
2 bottles of Kraft salad dressing
3 boxes of CapriSun juice boxes
3 cans of Bushs Baked Beans
9 boxes of  Ritz crackers
2 big bottles of Heinz ketchup
9 bottles of Herbal Essance Shampoo
2 small cans of cresant rolls

I hope to see your guesses real soon!

It is the end of the school year and I am one busy lady! Sorry for the delay in post here. There have not been alot of good deals lately, but here are the ones I have found for this week.
Publix has Kraft bbq sauce bogo this week for $1.59 and there was a coupon in the smart source on 5/8 for $1 off 2. That makes it .59 for 2 bottles of bbq sauce, good deal in my book. I am making meatballs for my nephews graduation party tomorrow night, so this is a perfect price for me! I will not be going to Publix for this though, I will save my gas and price match at WalMart this week.
I also saw that Wags has Purex Ultra Packs for $2.49. A few weeks ago we got some coupons in the mail with the pizza coupons and there was a coupon for $1 off purex ultra packs. This makes for some cheap washing detergent, and I actually really like these packs they are mess free and no guessing how much detergent to use, it is prepackaged for single use. You can also price match these at WalMart, like I will be. The wags in Monroe did not have any more on the shelf so you will have to either get a rain check or price match them if you want them now.
Next week at CVS they have Ocean Spray Juice, 64 oz, B1G1 and on http://www.coupons.com/ they have a bogo coupon for the Ocean spray juice. That makes 2 free, and if you print 2 coupons, you get 4 free.
This week at Family Dollar they have Pepsi 2 liters for .88. On 4/29  there was a coupon for .55 off Pepsi next in the Pepsico Moments coupon booklet. So .33 for a 2 liter isn't so bad, another stock up item for my nephews graduation party. You guessed it, I will not be going to FD either, I will be price matching this too.
Hopefully my post will come more frequently in another week when we are out of school. Have a great night and thanks for reading!

Wanted to pop in for a minute and tell you about some good weekend deals. At Toys R Us today you can snag some Crayola crayons 16 count for 4/$1.. I have already heard they do not have any at our Athens store, so I price matched it at WalMart last night, and got 8 boxes of crayons for $2. awesome deal,  I will be saving some of these for the Operation Christmas Child boxes in November. When I can snag good deals like this I try to put them aside so when it comes time to make my shoe boxes I am not scrambling to find items to put in them, when I do that I seem to spend more money in a hurry. Planning for things like this is the best way for me.
Also, my friend Laura reported that Rite Aid this week has pillow pets(the big ones) on clearance for 75% off. I think she got 2 for less than the price of 1 pillow pet. If you are in need of a last minute birthday gift, this is a good one. My girls Love  theirs!
Another unadvertised deal that Laura found (I have turned her into a good deal finder lol) was at Walgreens this week they have bottles of Degree deodorant for $1. SO, if you are out and about even without a coupon this is a good deal. There are not any coupons for it at this time, but still a good one.
Hope you have a great weekend. I am off for some shopping and then to get the last bit of stuff made for my sister's baby shower tomorrow! Enjoy the beautiful weather!

This weeks deals I found

I hope you have enjoyed this week and the rain we got on Wednesday. There is only one insert this week and that is a Smart Source.
There are a few deals I want to tell you about this week, I hope you can get to the stores before the sales are over. Or, just go to WalMart and price match them all.
In last weeks paper there was a coupon for $2 off Nivea, and this week at Dollar General it is on sale for $2.50. You can score some bodywash for 50 cents, awesome deal!
Another deal I saw this week is at Walgreens. If you go to Family Dollar and look by the Lysol products in the back, there is a coupon for $1 off Lysol toilet cleaner, then you can use it at Walgreens to get the cleaner for 50 cents. It is on sale for $1.50 - the $1 coupon, = cheap toilet cleaner. This is another deal you can price match at WalMart if you are going there.
At walgreens they have Disney gummy vitamins on clearance for $3.49, and there is a coupon for
$1 off Marvel or Disney gummy vitamins, 60 ct.+, RP 3/04 (exp 04/25)
this makes for some cheap vitamins and they are gummies, so that makes it even better! I hope you can make it to the store this week to score some of these deals.

This weekend there will be 3 inserts in the AJC. 1 Red Plum and 2 Smart Source. If  you don't get the paper on Saturday evening, then go to the gas station on Sunday morning on your way to church and get the double paper.
If you are not already a Publix shopper now is the time to start. On Thursdays if you spend $10 before coupons you can get a select item for 1cent. Some Publix require you to have the coupon from the ad, but some you can just tell them you want the Penny item. This week it is paper towels, you get a roll of paper towels for 1 cent. Even if you don't use them, you can get them and donate them to your church or local food pantry. F. I.S.H. In Monroe will always take any items like that. I also know for a fact that your child's classroom teacher would love to have paper towels. So even if you don't use them, get them, we can find someone that can use them.
I hope everyone had a great Easter, and enjoyed time with their families, I know I did!

Wal Mart trip today = sucess!

These are my deals from WalMart today. I had to go in to get all the stuff for the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, so I thought I would do some price matching while I was there instead of going to the other stores after I got all the cold stuff from WM. So here is what I did....
1.Eggs at Walgreens are $2/2.00. and there is a coupon for .55 off 2 on the FB page for eggs. Mine wouldn't print but Laura's did so I got her 2 dozen and me 2 dozen, but hers were cheaper bc she had the coupon and I didn't.
2. Nestle pull apart Easter cookies were $2.50 and there was a coupon in the Smart Source 3/25 for$1off1. So it made it $1.50 for a quick dessert to take to church on Sat for the egg hunt.
3. my girls wanted some dip to go with thier dinner and lunch tomorrow so I splurged and used no coupon but it was only $1.
4. This week at RiteAid they have Kelloggs cereal for $1.50 after the UP rewards, so I price matched at WM and used $1 off 2 boxes. So I got 2 boxes for $2. PLUS, on the cereal box there was a peelie for a free bag of M&M's when you buy 2 boxes, so for $6, I got 3 regular sized bags of M&M's and 6 boxes of Cocoa Krispies. We will go thru this in NO time, my kids LOVE cereal. This is a great deal so go get it while you can, it will only last till Saturday. I may see if I can find more coupons and get more of this deal, and donate the extras. (http://www.southernsavers/ has a printable for the cereal as well)
5.Trident gum I had a coupon from long ago that runs out tomorrow, and so I got this for the kids Easter baskets.
6.  Domino sugar is on sale at Walgreens this week 2/$5, so $2.50 each, so I price matched that and used a .40 cents off 1 x2. The coupon was from the Red Plum on 3/18. So I paid $2.10 for a bag of sugar, which is not great but not horrible either.
7. Bic silky touch 6 pack of disposable razors were $2.97 and I had a $2 off coupon from the Smart Source 3/18, so I bought 2 packs, for .97 cents each.
8. Purex laundry (18) tablets were $2.97 and I had a $1 off coupon from Red Plum 3/11. So, $1.97 for 18 loads of laundry is not too bad!
9. the little Easter eggs in the picture were $1 each and I used the $1 off 2 coupon from Red Plum 3/18, and I bought 6, they are also for the kids Easter baskets, don't tell.
Not included in the picture is a Coke, I was dying of thirst by the time I left, 1 Reeses pb egg, that was price matched from Wags for .39 cents. a happy lady from our church that I gave a Tetley coupon to, and the most wonderful 10 year old that helped me get all these great deals. We spent 2 hrs at Walmart, but not only for this , but for the egg hunt too.

Have you learned what my favorite drug store is yet? I love Walgreens, because they have great deals and there are really great people there. Have you gotten to know any of the people at your favorite store? I have... at Wags Tammy is the one I look for when I go in. She likes to show me the deals, and she is in charge of marking down the clearance. She works at the beauty counter and also likes to use coupons. Whenever I am in there I ask her what she is buying that day, usually she has a pile going and I see if I have any coupons to go with any of her items. WHY am I telling you this? It really helps to get to know the people at the stores you frequent, because they can point out the coupons in their ads and the coupon booklets that I could have overlooked. Also, if I am looking at something and waiting for it to go on sale, when it does go on sale, she lets me know. When she has new markdowns she lets me know. First thing I ask when I see her is, what kind of new markdowns do you have?... So, get to know the workers at the stores you shop at alot, it pays off.

Ok so, for the newspaper this weekend, these are the inserts you will find in this Sundays paper...

This Sunday, 4/01, you will have (3) inserts in your Sunday newspaper.
Be on the lookout for:
(1) Proctor & Gamble
(1) RedPlum

(1) SmartSource

If you still have coupons that you have not used for this month, don't forget today is the last day to use March coupons. Alot of the printable coupons will be reset tonight, so if there are coupons on http://www.coupons.com/ that you want to print, you better do that today because they may not be there tomorrow. On the first, they put up new ones and take away old ones.
Have a great weekend, well whats left of it!

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

Tomorrow is my last day of school for the next ten days, can I get a yahoo!!!! I am a little excited for some time off, can you tell?
I ran into Walgreens tonight to grab some pictures and of course I had to check out the orange tags aka clearance items. I found some good deals, I wasn' planning on shopping so I had left my coupons in the car, so I ran back out and got them. I found Oil of Olay body wash on clearance for $2.29, and they were also bogo 50% off, and then I had 2 $2 off coupons, so for both bottles of body wash I paid .81 cents, now this is my kinda deal. If you have the P&G insert for March that runs out this weekend, it might be worth you clipping that coupon out and running into Wags and getting some cheap body wash. I hardly ever get this good of a deal on body wash, so if you have coupons that you aren't using for Oil of Olay $2 off, pass them to me and i will definitely get some more. This is what I call a stock up price!
They also had Oral B kids toothbrushes on sale for .89 cents, which is a good price but out there somewhere are some coupons for them, I haven't been able to locate mine yet. SO this is a good deal if you have your coupons for those.
SO when you go into Walgreens this weekend look for the orange clearance tags, you might just find a great deal, and don't forget to take your coupons in with you!
happy shopping!

Monday, March 26, 2012

Today at http://www.coupons.com/ you can print a $2 off coupon for wisk detergent. At CVS this week it is on sale for $4.99 then if you take off the $2 printable, it makes the detergent $2.99. Which is not a bad deal, if you like Wisk.
Remember if you don't want to do CVS and you are at WalMart, you can price match this and get just as good a deal.
I also want to tell you about a few drug store sites that I use alot. http://www.iheartwags.com/ http://www.iheartcvs.com/
http://www.iheartriteaid.com/ If you go to theses sites at any time you can find the next weeks ad with the coupon matchups. If there is something I am running low on, like toilet tissue and I want to see who has it on sale next week, I go to all of these sites and find out where the best deal is, then I save the coupons for that sale and stock up on toilet paper. So, check them out sometime, you may find that you like them, I do!
Have a great night!

My favorite coupon site!

The weekend flew at my house, did it at yours? I cannot believe the whole weekend went by and I didn't step into a store to shop for myself. Well, I mean to coupon or snag a last minute deal. I would love to hear about your deals last week. Did you find a really good deal anywhere? I saw that Publix had some clearance Right Guard deodorant for $1.67. Right now if you go to http://www.southernsavers.com/ and click on the coupon datatbase in the right hand corner, you can look for a right guard coupon, and print the $2 off  2, they are only 67 cents each. which is not a horrible deal.
I use southernsavers alot, actually this is the site I use most often and get most of my info from. You can go there and search any store and they pretty much have it, with coupon matchups, and if there are printables. The lady that owns/runs the sight is a great Christian lady, who has three young girls. I like her sight more than any other coupon site. It is like a one stop site, sales, coupons and printables all in one.
Today if you go to http://www.coupons.com/ there is a coupon for $4/4 Kellogs cereals. I think you have to buy Corn Flakes, Rice Crispies,  or Raisin Bran, but if you like those cereals, then it makes for a great coupon. I used mine last week when the cereal was $1.77 at CVS, .77cents for a box of cereal is awesome!
Ok, well that is all I have for tonight, I pray you have a good week! Enjoy the beautiful weather God has blessed us with!

Thurs 3/22/12

Today has been an eventful day in my world. I am happy I was able to get in a quick walk with my sweet neighbor tonight.
I have listed the coupons that will be in the AJC this weekend. If you were not able to get something that was on sale I hope you got a raincheck. I like getting rainchecks because they give me time to find more coupons for the item. I hope to go to Publix before this weeks sale is over. They have a few things that I need.

This Sunday, 3/25, you will have (2) inserts in your Sunday newspaper.

Wed 3/21/12

Wednesday already... wow! Glad today is over, for sure! I didn't shop but I have some tips for you anyways. Did you know that you can use coupons at places like Dollar General and Family Dollar? They take any manufacturers coupons and they also take thier own coupons. So that means more savings for you, because you can stack them. Stacking means using one manufacturerers coupon and one store coupon. Alot of times you can go to the store website and they have coupons that you can print to use with the man. coupons. Also, you can look at the ads online, it may ask for your zip code or if you want to sign up for email alerts. If it is a store I go to on a regular basis I do sign up for emails because sometimes they send you coupons. But beware sometimes there are advertisements and spam that come along with those emails. AND just so you know the Dollar Tree and BigLots Do NOT accept Coupons, believe me I have asked 100 times! Happy Shopping.

Tues 3/20

So, today I didn't make it to any stores, but I still want to share a few things with you that will hopefully help you in your couponing world. Lots of people ask me where do you find your coupons, and here is the answer.
1. AJC (I buy at least 2 copies)
2. friends and family save them for me
3. internet printables (http://www.coupons.com/http://www.redplum.com/http://www.smartsource.com/ )
4. EBAY. yes EBAY!!! If I find a coupon in an insert that has a coupon that I think I will use and the deal is really good, then I will buy them on ebay. they are fairly cheap, make sure before you buy that you check the shipping, because some people charge an arm and a leg for shipping to make the money.
Hopefully some of these tips help you when looking for coupons
ps. some people go to the newspaper recycling bins and look for them there, but I don't have that kind of time. :)

Monday 3/19/2012

Did anyone make it to WalMart today to get thier cheap fruit? I did, I had to pick up my older 2 from school since I stayed home with a sick little one. So on the way we stopped at 2 stores, WalMart and my new favorite store.. Publix. I was so anti-Publix for the longest time, but then once I started couponing, I found out how much cheaper they are are when you shop the BOGO sales. The great thing about Publix is when something is buy one get one free it rings up both items at half price. You don't have to buy 2 items to get the deal, they are both half off, so that means you can use 2 coupons, one for each item. This week, thru Wed they have Lucky Charms on sale BOGO for 3.99. So both boxes are $1.99 each. Last week http://www.redplum.com/ had a 50 cents off coupon for 1 box, and when that coupon doubles, that means I only pay 99 cents for a box of cereal. Do you know how expensive cereal is at Walmart? You can also price match this at Walmart if you prefer to do that. I found lots of good deals today, I will share more later. So hope you learned something today other than Publix is my favorite grocery store. lol!

Sunday 3/18/12

Don't forget to get your AJC this week. There are 2 inserts in there, 1 Redplum and 1 Smartsource. There are ads for CVS, Riteaid, publix and also drumroll please... ALDI! You know what that means, price matching at Walmart. If you are a new couponer, I love it when there is an ALDI insert because they have great prices on fruits and veggies (which we never see coupons for), and then you can take it to Walmart or Target and price match.
This week Aldi has strawberries for 99 cents per pack WOW I know right, cheap strawberries!! Green grapes are an awesome deal too... 90 cents a lb. YUM! We love green grapes at our house. Pineapple and canteloupes are also a good deal at 99 cents a piece. Don't forget to take your ad with you to WalMart, but if you forget it, sometimes if you just tell them they will honor the price. Hope you can score some cheap fruit this week....  but please leave some for me!

Welcome!

Hey glad you stopped by to check out my blog. I have people ask me on a daily basis how did you save that much or how do you get free stuff, so I thought I would share my deals and post pictures of my shopping trips from time to time. I hope you enjoy your stay, and leave a comment if you want.
